Day 4

Wednesday morning: It was hard rolling out of bed at 6 o'clock this morning. Last night, a caravan of nine vehicles toured the Biloxi-Gulfport area. We didn't see much because it gets dark in Mississippi about 8:15 p.m., and we didn't leave camp until 7:30.

We drove for miles along Route 90. There were no lights, no buildings, no signs of life on land that was once prime real estate overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.
Our tour guide, David Triplett, said the area used to be booming with stores, hotels, apartment buildings and restaurants. Now, the only businesses up and running are the casinos.

I found this blog chilling. Driving for miles No lights. No buildings. I also found it equally disturbing that the only businesses that seem to have rebounded are the casinos.

Keep up the good work! I want more!
