Roger!
Back in 1986, I liked Roger Clemens enough to pick him up for my fantasy baseball team after he set a new single-game record by striking out 20 Seattle Mariners. That was one more than my all-time-favorite pitcher Steve Carlton did at his best, but I let it slide.

Then I started hearing little tidbits about what kind of guy Clemens was, and I didn't like him all that much anymore. By the time he won his fifth Cy Young Award - breaking another Carlton record - I couldn't stand him. His pitching for that team of mercenaries from the Bronx didn't help matters.

But I'm glad to see that he'll be back with the Houston Astros shortly, and I hope he pitches for years to come.

I'm a Clemens fan again because he's one of three (I think) major leaguers still playing who are older than I am, joining Jamie Moyer and Julio Franco.

Now, if we can get Rickey Henderson back in the big leagues ...
