Poor Cota
If you're Humberto Cota, you have to feel like a forgotten man on the Pirates - and how sad is that.

It took Cota 17 innings to get into Saturday night's 18-inning marathon against Houston. He was the last Position player to see the field. It would make sense to save your backup catcher if you were going to start him for an afternoon game the next day, but Cota didn't even do that. Ronny Paulino started again Sunday after playing the entire game Saturday.

Cota has three more RBI this season than me. And he has only eight more at bats this month than me. And it's even hard for the Pirates PR department to find positive things to say about him.

In the daily pregame notes put out by the club, each position player gets four notes about him, usually positive things or achievements. Cota's third note lists all three of his RBI this season (again, three more than me), while the fourth note says that he was the Opening Day catcher. That's it.

Poor Cota.
